Yea, I'm struggling through the film as we speak. I loved him in "Blue Valentine" and "Half Nelson" also.. Why didn't you like him in "Drive"?
His character seemed really arrogant.Without a backstory for him.But the beginning was cool.
trying to to watch that movie “Drive” starring Ryan Gosling and Carey Mulligan and I just CAN’T get into it, because everytime Mulligan appears on the screen with her Latino son, I’m reminded of how the role was originally intended for a Latina but they thought that a Latina couldn’t play a “helpless” or “vulnerable” role..

Didn’t knew that.It was my first Gosling movie I’ve ever saw.I hated him in it.But “Blue Valentine” made me a fan of his acting.And “Half-Nelson” also.
